Dear volunteers, now we go!
On Friday, the 1st of June, 16:00 we take a ferry from Pärnu to the island
Ruhnu. There we can be the Friday evening, the whole Saturday and on Sunday
morning at 11:30 the ferry starts to come back to the real world. The cruise
takes 3,5 hours.
Thanks a lot to MTÜ Maailmakodanik, who initiated this trip and who also
finances it. For example the boat ticket alone costs 600 EEK. Now, if come with
us, you can do it almost for free ;) You have to get to Pärnu by yourselves but all the
rest is free for participants.
The topic for the Ruhnu discovery trip is “Make love not war!!!” All the
slashed jeans, oversized sunglasses, wigs and other hippie stuff wants to
get out of the cupboard.
In the evenings we make campfire, barbeque and sauna and for the Saturday
Anna has planned a half day recreation program, which includes genetically
modified football and other surprises and secrets. The second half of the
day let’s walk around and see what the island is all about.
We sleep in tents. Who doesn’t have a tent – please let us know and we’ll organize something. But who has a tent or who can borrow it from a friend – even better!
